Only weighs 4.5kg.... Now to find someone who fancies earning a few quid by fitting it for me... cant say I fancy doing it myself...

Oh does anyone know where I can get new flywheel bolts from?

very jealous  that was my next mod after the service and alloy refurb.

jayzs 04-11-12 07:22 PM

Well I was gonna wait until it had been serviced etc but thought I would get it all done in one big hit... Belts, service and Flywheel...

The wheels I am going to wait until the summer before I fit them so no need to rush with the refurb...

Cant wait to get it all done tho... btw did you say you fitted a new clutch?

big_wasa 04-11-12 07:34 PM

Sheddist clutch hydraulics not the actual clutch.

jayzs 04-11-12 07:38 PM

Ah now I remember... would it be worth replacing the clutch while its all out?

Would i get any improvements if i fitted a racing clutch?

jayzs 04-11-12 07:54 PM

Anyone ever used these?

tbh i doubt you need to do anything other than replace it with an OE spec unit* - you are not increasing the torque so there is no need to alter the type of clutch you have.

i am very wary of most the ebay specials out there that that offer an 'uprated' clutch when it is just a bog standard cheapo one with a fancy painted cover!

* to give some context to this the OE derv's came with 192lbsft from the factory after the 115 ecu update (only 177 before), but we regulary get up 250lbsft out of them before they start to slip. :)

Nice, how does the OE flywheel compare weightwise?
