ZS 180 / MG Montego
In a good position now to get another car. And its between an MG Monty, or a ZS 180.
Has to be a MK2 saloon, mods are a plus. |
If you can find a decent monty go for it, why not?
|
i had an MG Montego years ago, non turbo version, great car, nice to drive, loved it!

Nice MG Maestro Turbo on ebay atm. Looks to be a good basis for a project. Jame's territory and most likely watching it ;)
|
Montego Turbo.!!! Definitely. I miss my old one so much, loved it. Yeah nice looking Red maestro on there atm that would be a good project, tempting with that too.
Montego everyday for me but you will need some spare pennies to get much better suspension and brakes on the thing if not already had it done. :) |

i saw a black one the other day, in really good condition, brought a wee tear to my eye as the one i had was black! It was the small things i liked about it, MG logo on the seats, red seat belts etc....

South Wales Police Driving School had one in early eighties. Never got to drive it though but they reported it as being the fastest car on the fleet. As long as it was kept in a straight line that is when turbo kicked in.
The others were Granada Ghia X pack and 4.2 Jags. |

Nice one, hopefully it can be saved but looks like a hell of a lot of work! I think they are the most far gone arches Ive ever seen, I guess cars normally get scrapped long before they get a chance to get like that though.
If thats how the body looks I hope structural components are more solid! |
I had a white one, took off the side strips smoothed the bumpers lowered it 2inches on motobuild springs 15inch kn dyna 5 spokes cornered like it was on rails, memories eh
|
Is the one in the ebay link the one you bought Stephen ?, resurrecting that will be a mission.
|
xpart still stocks some panels http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/ItemList...dywork--m-4569

I thought the one he bought was the one from an earlier link. Wasn't originally a turbo but had been modded to run the turbo that was on the usual monty turbo? White with green detailing that had damage to the NSF wing?
Looked good and was very tempted by it myself and sounded nice in his links. Look forward to seeing the progress with it :) |
I have H287LOH. Not the other one Genuine turbo.
|
seen it on facebook earlier get a pic up lol
