Car on Insurance Database? Does it Still Have MOT?

You may find the following links useful:
The Motor Insurance Database (MID) holds insurance details of vehicles. You can check if your vehicle is on the database today by visiting their website at www.askmid.com

The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) maintains the database of all MOT test results. You can check if your vehicle is on the database by using their website at www.motinfo.gov.uk
Very useful if buying a car as it will list the previous MOT and any advisories/failures

Need to check Vehicle details? visit http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp and click on "vehicle enquiry" to view car details such as year of manufacture, engine size and Tax bracket

Not fool proof though. I checked my Z was on MID. Came up saying yep all insured, and MOT'd.............When I tried to re tax my car, online, it refused, cos my insurance was going to expire in less than a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

had to buy the tax "manually". Do they think I was going to not insure it? With all these ANPR cameras and police cars, you get stopped........
