Super Charger Kits

Has anyone fitted or looked into fitting a supercharger before? Does the KV6 respond well to one? What power increase are we talking?
How much (wallet thraping) would it be, assuming a specialist garage fitted it?

I like the thought of fitting one! :)

You are potentially opening a can of worms with that question:)

I believe the kit is no longer available new, but they do come up secondhand occasionally.

Reliability issues have caused problems in the past, but the issues seem to have been dealt with now, there are a few people on the forum running s/c cars who will probably be able to comment further.

Search the forum m8 there is loads of info. Gary has his car up on eBay at mebt which has to be the best charged car ever!

I have had one.

big_wasa had his kit up for sale.

Unles u are nifty with a spanner then my advice would be to buy Gary's!

Type supercharged mg zs in eBay search.

Mine has gone, I fliped it so I could get a nicer mk2. My only regret is not getting a go in it first.

I would do the reading and go into it with your eyes open and only if you can do the spanner work your self.
I doubt you will even find a full kit. Ive only seen the same two do the rounds in the last few years and one (mine) has now gone to europe.

Down to just one then............... there must some more knocking about somewhere?

Kits are that rare?? Looking on some websites shows universal kits which can be adapted to fit most cars. Are these more effort & problems than they are worth?

I thought long and hard about this but decided out was way too much aggro. To me, if you have to ask then you don't know enough to have one, modify it so out works properly without blowing your engine, maintain it etc. But feel free to prove me wrong :-)

Did some googling & searches on this subject and....I understand now how difficult it is, how many problems trying to get it to work!

The theory & idea of a SC ZS 180 sounded good, but.....

Personally I like the idea of a twin turbo ZS that would be awesome.

Anything is possible with time money, Ingenuity and some more money. :trampoline:
