What is the size of the rear speakers in the saloon zs?
I have now fitted my new front speakers and am looking to replace the rear ones, has anybody else replaced the rear speakers in a saloon? i am after some that will just fit into the original space.

i got some alpines from halfords last year dont know if they still do them sxe-1725s is what they are its the best £40 i,ve spent they handle the bass real well i think they are 16cm in the rear but dont quote me on that but these alpines fitted stright in to the orignal holes in the shelf oh and mine is the saloon . How did you find fitting the front ones i,ve been told there a pain to fit and there isnt much out there to better the front oe speakers as your limited to what you can put in there thats was coming from a ice specialist near me he was saying the best way to improve the sound was to stick with the oe fronts change the rear and amp and sub in the boot but it worked out mega money he wanted thats why i just went for the rears from halfords and like i said big improvement dont no what to do about the fronts though dont know if spending out on fronts is gona be worth it if there aint gonna be that much difference from the oe ones

I had mine changed to Focal Access 165 CA1's. Dynomat in the boot too, by a specialist in Bishops Stortford, Herts.
They go straight in and the difference was amazing. |

did you amp them or just run them from the head unit???

They were wired straight in, no extra cutting. Dynamat underneath. I'm no expert, but apparantly this forces the sound back into the cabin.
Seriously good speakers, mated to the standard Kenwood head unit. HUGE improvement. |
