Model type or edition plays a big part in prices, our MGF Wedgewood SE sees prices around the £2k mark still. Can't see why but that is what is seen on ebay recently, being a 500 off run helps as not many around I guess. If a run of the mill TF then prices do fall as they are all getting on now. Still, at £600 it looked a bargin for a TF and can easily be modified inside and out to make it worth a lot more for little outlay.

Well ive got it home
Cant wait until Saturday so I can give it a clean and get a list of work needed for an mot. And the Scooby is through the mot as well. |

Get it for £600 ?.
|
yep, with the roof.
Drives fine but the tyres are sh##ed |
front and rears are a different size.
check the brake lines for rust, the metal ferrules on my front rubber hoses had rusted, put s/s ones on. Had the belts, tensioners etc done and a full service done by MG Rover soloutions. He travels from Brands Hatch area. Have fun. Cheap buy. |
That's good, bring it up to scratch over the winter then sell for a tidy profit in the spring.

How much of a pig are they to get at for the belts ? the K16 belts in a zs are a very easy. |
Well that's the roof sold making it a £400 Tf with out Hgf :smart:
Downside is I can already add £120 for four good tyres on used rims :judge: And it needs a full new exhaust and the rear window fixing now ive sold the hard top. My aim is to have it Mot'd and able to do a day at Cadwell next spring and keep the cost under what I can sell it for. |
When the engine covers off, you get goodish access to the engine.
Think Russell did my belts and a Full service in 3/3 1/2 hours or so. Different alternator belt if you have a/c. There is a company thats put a KV6 into their TF. so is doable. MG Lifestyle.:clap::clap: |
