Any how last night i knoticed my st starting to sound quite aggressive and loud inside the car lol not all bad :)

just been doing some research on line to find out the car has a noise generator fitted to all 2009 cars and mine has **** the bed and i belive its kinda stuck open

starfire039 17-08-11 12:48 PM

is ya exhaust fcked lol

Is it a valve in the exhaust that reduces the flow at lower revs, such as fitted in some K series cars, the default fail on these is open. They are controlled by vaccum pressure in the inlet.

Sounds like this tbh, though could be slightly higher tech in the ST, would the ECU control it instead of a vacumn?? :)

your all wrong lol its a valve fitted to the induction system that allows you to hear the noise of the engine inside of the car and the call it a sound resinator :) any how mine has failed and is stuck open not all bad sounds nice its booked in for a new one covered by the warrenty
