Super Charged ZS need our Help

Good Morning Everyone.

Not sure if many of your are aware but the Beautiful Ignition Blue Supercharged ZS met the backend of a 5 series estate yesterday.

The owner doen't want to go through insurance as he does not want the car written off.

He needs pretty much the whole front end.

Anyone know of a MK2 180 or 120 with kit in Ignition being broken. Or whole donor car with HGF?

Oh dear, not something we like to hear. If it is not going through his insurance does this mean he is paying for the BMW repairs himself?

That's bad news, there was an Ignition Blue mk2 breaking on ebay, I'll find a link.

Bonnet looks ropey, but the rest of the front panels don't look too bad

His insurance is paying for the BMW, but said to him beacuse its an MG and the damaged caused it will be written off, so gave him the choice of getting his car looked at. He said no

Wise move, insurers will write mk2 zs's off for very minor damage.

Very true had my previous zs written off and declared cat c recently for a dented tailgate cracked bumper and broken light. Won't go through insurance again!

I've only just seen this, unfortunately as said, I hit a 5 series on Monday morning.

The damage to the 5 series was minimal, cracked rear bumper, dislodged rear bumper and a small dent on the tailgate.

And, being auto, with the electronic gear selection the E61 has, it wouldn't go out of park. Whether that's the reason i hit it, or a consequence of me hitting him, I don't know.

Mine suffered much worse.

I could of tried to hide the fact I'd crashed it. But it was posted on my Facebook profile by people, minutes after I'd crashed.

I'll let the pictures do the talking...

I've decided to replace everything, as much as I can with brand new, genuine MG items. I'm not fussed on the cost, the cars had no expense spared all its life, so thats how its going to stay.

Absolutely gutted its happened. The support from the MG community and friends has been quite overwhelming. And I appreciate the efforts people are going to for me.

I'll end with a picture of the car in all its glory...
