mk1 wheel question

hi all does anybody know what the diffrence between the 17in mk1 wheels on the ZR and ZS. because i have just brought my girlfriend a zr120 and it has a 5mm spacer in the front so just wondering if zs wheels are wider and its got a set of them instead her dad says the wheels and tyres are very close to the strut it has the wrong tyres on it 215/45/17 but should the wheel be that close to the strut with a spacer on if they are the correct wheels.

I'm pretty certain they are the same wheels except the ZS and ZR has different suspension hence the possible need for spacers to clear if using wider than standard tyres on a ZR. That's my guess.

I thought they were the same also... 215/45 is both wider and deeper than the OE fitting so i guess 'Yes, the spacing could be a problem'..

215 45 will definatly rub on the ZR, also has the steering rack been changed? as the rover 25 has a different steering rack to the zr so if it has been replaced witha rover one then it will definatley rub on full lock

not as far as i know it's just her dad said the alloy's and the tyres looked to close to the strut, but it's probably just the tyre's not the alloy's. will get some pic's up when i get some time off work.

I can't see any difference between the ZR and ZS 17" straights. The standard size though is 205/45/17.
