desperatley needed Idle Valve Control Switch

Guys,
As above:-
Need Idle Valve Control switch for ZS180, car is un-driveable and is now revving at no less than 2000RPM and rising.

well to get you by as a temporary fix theres a screw which you can set the throttle plate to open slightly, you will see it under a plastic cover on the throttle body itself, obviosly this isnt a permanant fix but it will get you by till you can get one

just realised you have a kv6 but the same should apply, if not you could overtighten the cable a little so the plates always a little open

The car is at the point of driving itself!!!!
i'm having to switch the ignition off at traffic lights or in traffic to avoid it over revving, don't want to be trying no funny fixes with no disrespect.

ah i thought you meant it was cutting out, well you could blank the iac valve then do what i said but i guess your not wanting to do this, just as a temporary fix till you can get one:)

Remove the icv from it's housing and give it a good clean using some meths or something it will be gunged up with oil from the breather system I have had to do this with mines loads of times

I have cleaned the gunge and the metal valve completely dropped to pieces so it is well knackered :(
