drivers side rear door issue
 
Rite ppl when i opened the driver side rear door it wouldnt close managed to close it but now you cant open it from the in or out side handle any one have any idea on how to sort this or what has caused it to stop working and can it be fixed with out ripping the door card off to get into the inner door cheers dave

Not sure whats causing this but think you'll have to get door card off to have a look - imagine it'll be tricky with a saloon, possibly a little easier if you have hatch and can lift seat base out of the way

I've had the same experience but with my mums Renault Scenic. During the last cold snap, the passenger door handle stopped working, the only way to shut the door was to lean on it & lock it with the central locking fob.

I took a look at the handle & saw it was all floppy & declared it buggered, so mum booked the car into a garage & the mechanic took one look at & said "Oh that's a common problem with Renaults there's ice in the door handle mechanism." :oops:

Not saying it's the same thing, but it could be. :D

prob sort it turn out that the lock had frozzen up after five kettle of hot water door opened and closed find

Good, glad you sorted it, at least it was cheap fix. I'd bung some WD40 &/or Anti freeze in the lock to disperse the water & stop it freezing again too. :)
