Where is the Oil Coming from? *with Pics*

Hello, i checked my oil today as i regularly do and noticed a small pool of wet oil down the side of the Engine? Where is it coming from? is it a knackered rocker cover gasket or something else? Thanks

Thats looks like the most likely culprit, worth doing that first.

Got a derv so not much help to be honest, but I'd check that. Is it a gasket or just some sealer stuff???

Looking at the front of the engine the rocker cover gasket needs changing, But below the gasket on the side pic above where you say the oil is is dry. Sure someone hasn't just spilt oil in the past when topping up?

It may just be the headgasket weeping. Does't mean its blown, Its common but usually on the o/s/f corner of the head. Still needs the rocker cover gasket doing though.

do the rocker cover gasket then go and steam clean it all, then if you get athletes foot powder round that area at the bellohousing youll soon see where the oils leaking from(it needs to be dry fully before putting the powder on), if it is the headgasket there tbh id leave it until it needs done as it looks very slight from that not worth disturbing,

it may also be leaking from the cam seal and dripping down but doubt it when rest of heads clean
