Sump plug washer
Doing an oil change later tonight. Do I need a new sump plug washer as one didnt come with the filter.

Always best to change them.. I tend to do the sump bolt as well but thats not as necessary unless its mega old
|
i never change it, infact i done oil changes on both the car and van today, so the car one has been undone 4times now and not changed it
|
Only ever changed them if they leak (iirc none ever has!) or if I happen to have one by some flook - God knows how many oil changes I've done on my cars + family & friends over about 30 odd years.

I'm lazy and use a sucker outer, down the dipstick tube.
Do it every 6 months or so, but last time took it to Nationwide for filter and oil, charged extra ?10 to take the undertray off!!! I know Ritchy will say you leave all the swarf and crud in the bottom of the sump, but its such a bind dropping it out the plug hole. Either goes up your arm or over the drive. Maybe I could suck it out then undo the plug and wont have the same amount to rush out. :w00t::w00t::w00t: |
