my daily 1993 rover 414si & mgzstd+115 (pics to come!
My genuine milage 1 previous owner (deceased) 1993 rover 414si 7600miles only!!! thats right 7600miles! not 76000! & NO power steering!!!
http://photos-a.ak.facebook.com/phot...12600_8278.jpg all i have done to it is change the exhaust to a self made stainless system with a slightly modified metro gti tubular exhaust manifold & downpipe! it needs a 2nd silancer as its a bit too boyracey loud for me! i want it a subtle burble! lowered it about 100mm but the front has to come down a little more to loose the gap between arche & tyre edge :OD i have the rover gti alloys like in the pic but i actually drive about in it on stock steel rims! they are black with a red pintripe around the perimeter of the rim! the rear lights are from a tomcat so have the clear rear indicators rather than orange! i have also painted the bootlid numberplate panel matching red, i may paint the roof a matching black to the upper half of the doors so its a very subtle two-tone! i have a genuine rover front splitter & bootlid lip spoiler (a bit like a bmw m3 one) i also have some gti rear spats to fit too & a tomcat turbo bonnet that has the bulge in for clearance of the t-series turbo motor also needs painting & fitting! i'll debadge it too, we know its a bloody rover other than the above it is totally stock & will stay this way as i only tootle to work n back in it, my only plans are to keep it rust free & look after it! i like it to be subtle! those that know rovers will see what i have done those that dont will think its stock! although if i had a serious engine problom on the 1.4 k-series! i have a full tomcat turbo motor with a t28 turbo & big SAAB intercooler & all the bits including front & rear vented disks & powersteering setup! i bought a cheap drivable tomcat turbo that had a rear end smack & stripped it for the conversion bits! & it was feckin fast as heck! i'd love to get it in but i dont have the time at present!:look: picsof the zs to follow! |
i had one of those in blue it was a cracking car and my first mg-rover:clap:

Looks good. I had a 420Gsi and I absolutely loved it. Great car.

Must be like a new car with those low miles.
Had this down the road the other day, getting it ready for Castle Coombe http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/m...02kyra0005.jpg :clap: |
i actually really like that, looks smart as a saloon lowered like that, nice one! make sure the rear arches are well covered underneath :)
|
Nice ...
My first Rover was a 214SEi and it went well. I like the 3 box shape. |

yep! i liked the saloon & my tohught was that it would look pretty good lowered, due to the milage it does drive pretty much like a new car! its super tight in the handling but with it being a non-power steering modal, damn the steering is heavy sometimes!
i would consider fitting some strut braces to the daily 1.4 just so the body is'nt flexing, i have made a bar to brace the rear suspension & cam make one for the turrets, if i can get som for the front that would be pretty good! the interiour is completely stock, wind up windows the lot! zspete thats pretty damn groovy! bet it go's well! |
Guy was trying to sell it and one of his mates who was helping had one as well, that he was also selling.
 |
7600 miles, that was a nice find.
