Fuming!!!

When I went to my car yesterday morning found that someone had done a hit and run on it!!!! Front grille completely smashed and scuffs to the bonnet and bumper, well and truley gutted! Only saving grace is she was parked in a hotel carpark and they have CCTV, so waiting to see if the police will bother to look at it to see if its been caught on Camera. Now looking for a Black pearl Grille if anyone has one, checked out Ebay, nothing as yet although there is a black one with paint code LQW, wondering if thats close enough?

Could go for a MK 2 grille, not sure if it would suit or even fit the MK 1 though, any comments guys?

Gutted for you mate. Make sure that the police find out about the CCTV and if necessary make contact directly with the hotel to have it retained. It may be that it gets overwritten every 24hrs.

I take it from your post that you have a Mk1 ?

Yes a MK 1, the car had been parked there all week so not even sure what day it happened!

Hmmm .... Ask at the hotel, but I'll bet they just overwrite the CCTV unless it's asked for or an incident takes place.

same happened yo me a few years ago except it was the rear door and wheel arch. Contacted the police but they where less than helpful but i dont suppose there was much they could do about it - no cctv or anything. Cost me ?650 by the end of it all.

Feel for you, lucky for them that you havnt got the "company car", there.

Bet you would love to nudge their front end.

Hope you can sort it without too much cost.
