Has anyone "drilled" a hole in the std filter system??

i.e , resonator box so it allows more air in (possibly using foglight apperture)

did it on my Escort RS Turbo and made a huge difference, surely must be able to see good results from this?

OR...

Am I wrong?

Yep but the stock filter will still only flow so much unless u change the panel filter as well.

ITG or K&N/Pipercross panel filter, surely a cost effective mod...

Home made inner wing induction wouldnt cost much more tha a K&n panel.

I may be doing an inner wing setup next month James if you fancy doing them together?

3 x 90 degree silicone elbows (black) + Jubilee Clips
3 x Plastic hose connectors
1 x Breather Filter
1 x Cone Filter (Not a really expensive jobby)

Priced it all up to around the £60 mark.

I once took the pipe off between the filter box and the resonator box. Probably very minor difference in power and sound.

My car ran without that for years and never had any problems with water ingress and I live where we don't have hosepipe bans if you get my drift.
