ZS180 saved!

On my travels for work today, I had to deliver to a garage, who are based next to a scrap yard. As I pulled in,. I noticed they had a rather tatty looking 180 in.
As they were checking my delivery, I asked about it. Heres its story.
A TB 180 4dr, 2001, 76,000miles. Usual minus points. The previous owner had the clutch fail on him. No gears at all, the garage told then new clutch. The price was too much so they sold it to the scrappy.
My customers mate saw it and asked if they could have it, for spares. £350 later, they had it. Up on ramp, they saw that the gear change rods were missing the bolts that hold them to the g/box. Hence no gears! The previous owner, was either ripped off by garage, or just thick.

Either way, bit of work, plus a good clean and pow, an 180 back on road, instead of being scrapped and sold for bits!!! :mml::mml:

ps. Told them to tell the owner, about the site. He apparantly interested on joining.

True, so easy to overprice a job. All it does is makes the owner, go " not economical to repair" and it gets scrapped. Garage loses job, and we lose another ZS!
