ABS comes on > 80 mph

Took the ZS out for a fairly long drive today. Engine ran perfectly, not problems.

However, once you get over 80mph the ABS light comes on.

Am I right in assuming it's either a dodgy ABS sensor, or maybe there's excess rust on the notches on the drive shaft? Especially since the car stood for so long.

It may be that the sensor rings need a wire brushing to clean the rust and crud off them.

Yeh the rings were my first thought, especially since the ABS light is off until you get to over 80.

I'll give it a run over tomorrow with a wire brush.

Which side is the sensor on?

Have to check for cracks on the ABS rings as well.

Will do.

The sensors are on the rear side on the front and back iirc.

There are sensors on all 4 wheels, the fronts suffer more.

As the car should't go over 70 on the road you can sell it as is.

I drove 30 mile on the motorway today at 75 more or less all the way back and the light stayed off. So you're probably right, but if I can I'd like to fix it.
