Saloon Boot

Boot wont keep up,its got the BIG spoiler on it,ive had a bit of a fiddle with the torsion bars this afternoon, but it still wont stay up.Do i keep using my wooden 2"x1" to prop up or is there another solution? Thanks in advance.

either move the torsen bar to the stronger setting, or add in gas struts :)

Is that where you move it to the other hole,so its tighter?

Just find a strut thst fits! Opens nice & slowly when the boot is popped. Job done.

2 questions

how did you move the bars as they are under tension?
sould I have a second grove for the bar ends nearest the seat?

petet16 03-03-13 05:22 PM

If you look on the 2 pics I posted you can see the groove nearest the seat, I used a bar to twist them and a block of wood to force them into the forward pair of grooves, I didn't fancy putting my fingers near them.

talkingcars 03-03-13 05:46 PM

I asked as I only have one grove, the one the bar is in.
