When I drained my Rover 214SEi, I undone the sender/pump and used a tube to syphon it all out......Was extra flash and used my mums wine making tube, as it had a tap. So everytime i had filled up my can, i could turn the tap, and not have to resuck to get it going again...

Just earth the fuel pump relay and fill a can from the fuel rail connector under the bonnet.

Means on and off with the ignition if you do it from the engine bay..
