Rear Speakers ZS Saloon

Has anybody fit any descent base speakers without modding the rear panel, the deep base sony's catch the torsion bar, the pioneers have no base at all,i have seen a few mickey mouse sets on ebay but do i want to spend £60 on something i've never heard of ? I know the best way is a sub & cross over etc but just want a bit of descent bass.I'm not a ford fan but the front speakers on a new fiesta are excellent (bass & treble) but they would need to be chopped & modded

I refitted the O/E speakers and a reasonable amp/sub running about 400amps to get reasonable sound.

Focal access 165.

Awesome - direct fit. Maybe a few quid over budget, but amazing sound quality.

You know you can move the torsion bar to get around this.

I removed the Focal's that came with my car because they had zero base.

I take it you mean filing the mounts where the bar sits.. That was going to be a last resort. And those focals are slightly over budget:shifty:

Looking in to it i reckon a sub will be the better option

No, just knock the torsion bar onto the next notch. Sorry to nick your pic Pete.

These do me fine and drop straight in to the gap

You can use old ford escort speaker plug adapters too, fit straight on to the Rover plugs and save you chopping up your speaker loom.
