It took me about an hour, there are 5 bolts on the top edge, one hidden under the wing liner close to the front of the while arch, 2 visible down the door shut and one at the bottom behind the sill cover.

The one under the arch can be reached with a extension on your socket by bending the liner down, there is no need to remove the liner The one under the sill cover with a ring spanner after levering the sill cover out a bit, personally I didn't replace it.

All bolts are 10mm.

now got the wing .... saw what I need to do from the donors car - he told me he had to take the sill off and in doing so he broke a number of the sill clips - where the metal bracket was connected to the plastic ..... anyone got a link to a "sill not off" picture please?

No picture as it just looks like it is.

You need to lever it out enough to get a ring spanner in, you have to do it by feel.
Use the other wing to guide you to where the bolt is.

I didn't bother refitting that bolt, the sill hold place.
