Strong money for this Mk2 - Engine issues
 
Saw this - strong money for one with an engine issue.

I'd be pretty certain the engine knock will be 1 and 2 big ends, so an engine swap would be needed

Well, I reckon and I stand to be corrected by recent buyers/sellers but most Mk2s up on there are between £1500-£1800. Dogs or desperate sellers will go for £500 - good forum cars £2500 plus.

It's strong money for a car being sold by a dealer as spare or repairs, imo of course.

I thought similar. Hardly worth the trouble then if it needs another engine and timing belts as well, plus all of the other bits and bobs!
