passenger compartment fusebox (electric rear windows)

im putting in electric windows for the rear, fitted the regulators, door looms, switches and made up my body looms.

-if my car already has driver and passenger electric windows, the only thing im having to worry about here is providing an earthing and a positive point for the rear two windows?

-now would i be right in saying, i could follow where the passenger and driver positive wires lead to, then il find the passenger compartment fuse box?

-would a bolt on one of the seats be a decent earthing point?

thanks
mo

nice one mate.
is it possible to take the fusebox out without damaging anything.. theres no way i can get under there(nxt to the pedels) to wire in my postive feeds

vinny1979 31-01-09 12:25 PM

yeah it should just unclip? or use the live feed ( switched +) from your headunit wiring????

MO-MO 31-01-09 12:26 PM

so you're saying i could just use a positive feed from anywhere?

afcbadam 31-01-09 12:43 PM

yea. try to use a switch live so that they are only live when the ignition is on

like the cig lighter perhaps?

vinny1979 31-01-09 01:30 PM

so the red power wire to headunit is switched, yellow =constant.

hang on a minute, are you talking about powering your rear leccy windows from the head unit power feed?

vinny1979 31-01-09 03:17 PM

lol , ideally no but its a feed, would need to fuse it up, i mean ideally a switched live straight from batt but .............

WE NEED POWER ;)
