Power Capacitors...

Are they any good and would they solve the lights dimming etc when the power for the sub is turned up. If anyone has fitted one have you got pic's?

I havent got any pics of mine but i have got one fitted and it does make the system sound much better and does reduce the light dimming but does not eliminate it, i think to eliminate it altogether you would have to get a heavy duty battery and a better alternator.

KevG has one in his install which is worth a look i am sure there are pics on here somewhere

it's been well documented that they do naff all for a system apart fom look nice, but I'd still have one just incase

If your lights are dimming you need a chunkier earth cable to the battery

:lttd: they just add to the alts load.

Upgrade the Earth Cable on your battery Terminal, makes one hell off a difference. i did it to mine and now the lights dont dim :D (on occasions when it does dim its only minor)

the ICE people do the BIG 3

Battery to Chassis
Engine to Chassis )i earthed mine to suspension bolt
Alternator to Battery

use 4 awg cable or thicker. a bigger battery would help too
