[QUOTE=SRD180;107561]HI what sort of power can you get out of the 2.0 115+ ? may be going to have a look at one at weekend.

Hi, I've got a derv. and had the following:- remap, boost put up a bit, decat, cat back powerflow exhaust, BMC panel filter, maf adjuster box.

Now goes a lot better, been round Brands with the 180's and although I got passed by the quick ones the car could keep up, I just let them get by so they didn't get upset at being beaten by a derv!!

Took it to Santa Pod and did 17.5 but I just sat on the line with the wheels spinning like mad, so it could have been a bit quicker.

Cheaper insurance, road tax £120, was 50 odd mpg, but now down to 40 odd
great torque but top end speed down on the 180, but that's only on the track!!!

You also dont get all the VIS motor problems and dodgy manifolds that the 180's seem to suffer from.

All the above mods came to about £550. but the car goes a lot better now.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

You can also put down a nice, black smoke screen, to stop anyone getting by, or so I'm told. :p:p:p

Hi Adam,

On my private track its got to over 120, but it still feels there's a bit more. I will have to book the track and see what it tops out at.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

the thread on xpf is for my car, and tbh the best place to look for L-series tuning info is either on .org or http://www.roverdiesel.co.uk/

reliable performance on standard parts is about 150bhp and 250lbsft that is 50% power increase and 25% torque.
to do that you need: SDI injectors & remap (i recomend matt reidy)
to help keep smoke down you probably want to change the induction and exhaust.

As soon as you try to get more the L-series decides it wants to get thirsty and will drink your coolant.

i am loathe to quote figures but mine could be around 170bhp possibly more (probably less) and upto around 300lbsft torque - but again probably less as I will probably go conservative on the map when i take it to Matt.

Would rather have the car on the road for a while than to get bragging rights with the figures - I say this cos we done know for sure quite what the headstuds will be able to cope with.

At what mileage or age do the timing belts need changing on the 2.0 td 115 ?
