induction kit variation

Planning to speak the people at Mike Stokes Motorsport next week when i get my backbox changed about fabricating an induction kit (open cone) but im not sure whether to route it to the inner wing or through the front of the bumper next to the fog lamp for more air flow. Is it likely to collect anymore dirt in it than you get with the filter in the inner wing (tyre spray) ?:hmmm:

120 or 180?

180's have sod all room to play with, I did go inner wing but did not like the amount of water found laying in the pipework, it finds it way in through the engine bay! I used my nearside foglight aperture, perfect height for cooler air and the filter has not collected any excessive rubbish as I has a fine mesh covering it.

Tyre spray is only an issue if you have removed the arch liner.

I am bit worried about water in my kit as well. So i have left my induction kit in the bay for just now pointed down towards the bottom of the bay untill i work out a good soloution to the inner wing water bug problem

Im not sure short of a vertical cold air feed how you can get round the water and in doing that you will lose the ram air effect....

i had this problem then come up with this idea, i cut the bottom off the resinator box and sat the cone filter in there so no water can fill the cone up

Do you still get an increased induction noise? If not I may just get a sealed unit like a BBC or pipercross viper

oh yeah :)

Sounds like a good solution then,I'll get the pipework fabricated to fit exactedly then
