Phate is an unknown quantity at this point
Ah, heres how we did the cambelt without the special tools.

Ignoring the fact this is infact the new cambelt on, look at the 2 large cogs. Before taking the old cambelt off we marked them with a very technical substance more commonly known as tip ex. We took the old belt off and the cogs sprung round, but due to the markings knew where to put the cogs back into place when it came to fitting the new belt.

So with the belt off we fitted new tensioners and water pump. And proceeded to fitting the belt.

So as described above I used a spanner and turned the cog back into the correct position, now we needed a 3rd person so came up with this concoction instead

You like? - It held the cog in position as we fitted the belt, did a similar thing the other side. Fitted the belt so it was perfeck, removed the rachets etc holding it all...turned it over via the crank...and no knocking noise...the sound of bliss

I wasn't there when the camshaft belts were done, but it took minutes (again, no special tools used) so it couldn't have been hard

Thats the biggest part over really!
