I would double check the connection so that the ring connector is perfectly flat on the metal of the car... i had this problem in my clio before, i tightened up the bolts and it was fine.. i woudl get a battery terminal cleaner they're only cheap, clean up the terminals and put the wax over them to stop them going skanky, and tighten up the bolts. If not, try a ground that is factory standard and see if it does the same thing.

also cut the ground wire as short as possible.
