VVC is the variable valve timing thingy, Honda had it first I think, you have to rev the nuts off but it gives a lot more BHP.
Non VVC is just ordinary valve timing, so no additional gears etc to worry about.
Thats the technical bit, well, as much as I know, thats not a lot.
