you dont need to MOT or VIC check it if you kept the V5
, mine had just passed the MOT when mine got hit, and i never MOT'd again untill it was due again, didnt have a problem with taxing it either, mine is still on the register of needing a VIC check but doesnt affect me as i still have the V5
