Thanks, tried that and it worked...............I was trying everything whilst on my knees out of the car. You need a bit of body weight to push it back lol.

I had just got it valetted and they must have pushed the seat back, and pulled the wrong lever.

So now I can drive him again, and he is is spotless in and out, all the horrible black streaks have gone. Looked like a bumble bee.
