i did the clutch on mine, easy job loads of room to work in but ideally gearbox off, makes it easier for when you line the clutch plate up after,
big big tip, when your box is off, take out your clutch arm and clean up the shaft, ideally to take off the powder coat that is on it, as what happens when a bit of the powder coat wears away the shaft starts to rust and then this expands and makes the clutch arm stick, so what i did on mine was take the powder coat completly off by sanding it and then gave it a light coat of spray paint, and then a nice lubing of grease on the shaft, clutch was lovely then
