Dunno? sounds like when my missus trapped the seatbelt in the catch and it wouldnt open. Try pushing against the door whilst its fully closed and GENTLY pulling on the handle. That freed mine up. I would recommend a gentle tug at approximately 2 second cycles. Worked for me
