there are enough people who have gone for a remap, strapped down on the rollers to be told the vis are not working, a guy on here just the other day.
Assuming they go back after fixing them, you have a back to back (ish) test on the rollers, but you shouldn't need that to convince you!!!

The fact that none working vis are so obvious on the dyno is enough to tell you.

The loss of low/mid range torque, about 15-18lb/ft foot of them also tells you what will happen if you gut one.

So, if you gut one, you will loose a load of torque below c4400rpm, above that it will be the same as a working one.

Some may argue that there are benefits of no restriction of flaps above 4k, if the manifold was of a particular design, I would agree, but its a shocking design and I can't see the removal of flaps making any more than a nats whisker of difference top end, assuming you never let your revs fall below 4,000rpm.
