If the govt manages to bring in the new tax bands, where people are being charged for a decision they made years ago, whats to stop them changing the cut-off date in future - a car thats "safe" now may not be in 2 years time.
Though TBH we should have car tax riots like the poll tax ones til they reverse the decision!
