I just gave Smokey's old dash bits a sand down a respray today, so I might have a spare mk2 dash available soon.......
From what I can see, you need take the entire center console out to attatch the main dash part to it (screws in from behind). Dont think it will be a huge job though - I hope! Might have a bash tomorrow.
