probably mate, have you checked the coolant? it needs to be half way up the expansion tank. if its a bit low the light will come on. When the engine is warm the level rises slightly so the light would go out. Have a look under the bonnet and make sure the coolant is half way up the tank. But only when its cold
If you get some antifreeze make sure its the O.A.T as recommened by MG
