Try having two and a at to tax
It sits at roughly 3k revs at 70mph but you won't notice that in the v6 as its so smooth and hardly makes a noise at those revs. Especially in a mk1 with more sound proofing.
And 80mph is about 3.5k as its geared better in my opinion.
I sound deadened panels in my mk2 and its really nice on an mway cruise. And the torque at 3k in 5th is more than adequate for a good overtake.
That said I'd love a 6th, I think the 180 would take it well and would make it. That little bit more fuel efficient!
