lol, this has been discussed soooo many times and always divides opinion. for me different cams makes no sense, i have the original mgr launch brochure for the mg's and it specifically says the only engine differences are better induction and better exhaust and the ecu map.
Maybe the cams have a different part number as they are destined for a different car but are they actually different, can you visibly see any difference.
Iirc, Rovadose on xpf has looked into all this, hes had the engines in bits and played with the cams whilst modifying etc and he says they are the same cams but timed 4 degrees differently.

We all know a zs 180 will make a real 190 bhp when all you have done is the induction and added a full exhaust. So what exactly are the different cams doing in the zt 190 because if anything they are actually losing power. How can a zt 190 with different cams, re map, better induction and exhaust only make 187 bhp, it makes no sense, why would they go through the expense of different cams if they give no power gain?
Ive known zs 180's make that power with just a de cat and induction mods.
