for 2k you could pick up a nice 180 mk1 easily. The tax hike isnt happening, and on a run of 45 miles you can expect very good fuel economy. I came back from falkirk in my mk2 180 last week and did 370 miles to £40 on a run, and i wasnt exactly hanging about. This week with 60% town and 40% hooning it to the mrs house 8 miles away I got 260 miles to £39. And that isnt hanging around, the 180 is such good value, obviously dependant on your age etc for insurance costs. But you wont be disappointed and I think the 180 is much better value for money over the 120 etc. IMHO
And as a guide my 2005 180 has just done 29k and I paid £3000 dead, and ive seen them for less. Good luck buddy!
