Crappy screen wash

A1 south bound, washers frozen, salt on screen, turn a corner and voila, early morning sun! = zero visibility. I will never buy ready mixed screen wash from Shell again, so lets see what Halfords is like neat. Anyone got recommendations for good screenwash if this is also pants?

I have used two types, the concentrated one from Halfords, very good but expensive and the stuff from ASDA. The latter was on offer, 5 litres for ?2 and used neat and good for -4. What you buy in the end will be down to temperature range.

Anything that'll handle morning temperatures of circa -10, which is what we are having at the moment. The premixed s**t was meant to be good for -15 but it definitely didn't do what it said on the tin

Wonder how one gets on with demanding a refund for not fit for purpose? Not easily drained to fill the bottle back up in order to take it back! Guess it'll mean paying for the concentrated stuff.

Too true, Managed to drop the level some and get about a litre in which has allowed the pump to work but still nowt from the jets. So have gone to plan B, a squirty bottle in the car! means I have to stick my hand out the window and give the screen a squirt (oo er missus) but as a temporary measure, it'll suffice.

the amount of people coming in with rozen washers is unbelievable, and they must be sitting for ages tryi g the pump to blow the fuses as well, and half them dont believe its frozen, and the odd one convinced the pumps knackered because theyve replaced the fuses(in the wrong place one of them) and you go pull the pump out, solid ice inside, melt it in the sink under hot tap, kettle of boiling water in the tank and straight away they work., like what do they expect driving about with nearly zero screenwash when its -10
rant over
