Quick Question

Right Guys If I Taxed My Car now and went out in it tommorow showing an out of date tax disc could i get nailed for doing so considering ive paid for tax and am awaiting a tax disc???

print off the confermation page and keep it in the car just to show because the anpr system will have updated by then.. i did and they where cool with it at a drink drive road block

Think id get away with going to the post office after work sounds a better idea TBH as i desperatley need it tommorow...... got a wedding Friday and just come to check my suit and its well and truely mashed from its last outing (Mates Bday)

You need proof you have the new disc. Thats all. As long as its got a nre tax disc, the police can check, even if its not in ya car. The ANPR cameras are good for that. I got caught, but had my reference number form my online purchase.

thats the main reason im a bit nervous i always do it online, but If im honest ive been a bit undecided whether to tax it as for the amount of miles i do i dont think its worth it and ?135 to do about 2500 miles is a lot of money

christ!! mine only wishes it was doing 2500 every 6 months.. im doing 1600 a month not the most pratical car for it but hey haha

If you tax online you get 5 days allowance for displaying.

i used to do 800 a month but i changed jobs through redundancy and took a job about 5 mins away from home (Crap Pay) so the car just sits theyre in gear doing diddly ****
