Looks good mate ....
(I'm going to resist any more "not bad apart from it's YELLOW", "my God my eyes .... !", "yellow sucks" or "yellow is just pants" type comments. No need for it ...... ...... )

One reason I tend to keep my bonnet shut, too much cleaning to do! Good job though, looks good.

That has come up really well & does look very nice. I keep toying with the idea on mine too but I wouldn't know where to try for the heat resistant paint and trusting then to get a good match.
Well done Daytona

I degreased it, twice. then two coats of primer. Then used Trophy Yellow, and two coats of lacquer..............................The cover doesnt get hot, on the top so no need for high temp paint. Using TY paint makes it match even better...............Just got to get the yellow air tubes for my airfilter now...............

I don't know about yours then but mine is always baking after being run. I know its not engine block hot but it still gets to the point of it being too hot to touch. Would've thought that as it was in close proximity it may have been best to use some heat proof paint of some sort though.
Either way, does look good mate
