Fortunately nothing too major!

The slave cylinder on the clutch went. I was at traffic lights right next to J25 of M1. The helpful AA man pointed out that was being held together with cable ties - which does explain its overall rubbishness. The AA man wasn't able to tow me because of the low front bumper, so he sent for a flatbed. the first flatbed was too steep so again the front bumper was in the way, so he sent for a 2nd flatbed which only just managed to get me on without damage! I was sat at the roadside for 4 hours! The car is now sat at the mechanics waiting for the part......
The chaps at Dark Ice designs have posted me a sheddist style replacement out today so it should be there and fitted tomorrow. I'd planned to do the upgrade at someone - just that now its sooner rather than later!

Thank you, and yes absolutely - would have been an expensive job otherwise! Always found the AA to be pretty good.
