build update
i havent done a proper build thread which i shall do once im done, anyway for now heres a few pics of the latest work of getting the floor free from that horrible sound proofing and then got chance to get it painted up. Also been stripping more weight out of her and have ripped a good few kgs out of the doors and completely stripped the rear doors, got some nice new front door cards. And now the fun of stripping out bits of the loom thats not needed. messy job but will be worthwhile. After that will be overhauling the suspension and fitting a new front splitter : ) and finally getting round to doing a fiberglass bonnet and bootlid. Will update with more pics in a few weeks

I'm liking that very much indeed. Inspiration for anyone on a December day in the UK.

Looking good Ian. Once the tar has been removed what did you use to paint the floor? It looks pretty good. How's life down under?

Tried a variety of paints and ended up using a dulux metal paint in satin as it looked the best, not finished yet at all but its getting there. Lifes good here, wont be coming home to the UK as much as i love it in blighty as lifes just great here, better weather, better pay by miles and theres still an mg scene here which helps!

i wouldnt say that, be worth a look at some jobs here. you can get temporary work visas easy most wages are double if not treble the uk wage plus living costs are actually lower.

IMHO it is easier to do it as you go along.
A popular method to remove the sound deadening is dry ice, it hardens up and chips off.
