So i had to call the AA

Well soppy bollocks here left the keys in the ignition last night in position one. Out on the street all night and all day today so went to go out and battery was totally dead. Couldn't find my jump leads and no one was about so made the call.

AA guy was cool, he's looking for a 160 engine to drop in his caterham so was chatting for nearly an hour about it!

lucky nobody noticed the keys in the ignition mate,close call,maybe could have been looking for your car,id have been happy with the battery flat

Makes a change to have an enthusiastic rover AA mechanic!
Usually just get "yeah head gasket bla bla bla"

Close call that....

Only time i left keys in a car was in my first one. left them in the door for 3 hours while i was at the pub (on the lemonade) and the car was on the street nearby.

Funnily enough - no one even wanted to take the vauxhall belmont for a joyride....

Insurance i just took out on the fiesta actually now explicitly states if you can't account for your keys, or you leave them in the car then they are not liable!

Make sure you have a spare set, in case the insurance ask for a set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
