My MGZS 120 MkII - my story [pic heavy]

Gotta document this somewhere may aswell be somewhere people might be slightly interested..

Hi all,

Got my MG ZS back in March it's been a quite an eventful 6 months but love is tough so you gotta work on it ...

Anyway here are some pics of when I first picked up the car!

My 1st car to 2nd Car

Bit of a power jump I know lol..

I was driving the beaut for 3 weeks then this happened actually gutted

Some council bloke decided it was a good idea to **** around with his radio on a right turn at a set of lights, Traffic stopped infront off me he didn't notice...I was literrally 15 seconds from work

What made it worse was the damage to his van:

Nothing at all........................

So we exchange details theres a witness he trys to blame her but she was infront of me the cheek. I manage to swing the bumper round enough so the wheel would move and drive it to work. He rings me up and said he wants to settle out of insurance and asks me to keep it cheap. Wiplash insues half hour later while at work so went hospital etc and week off work couldn't move my neck and couldn't drive at all..

My old man drove the car to a garage and we got an estimation, ?2750 quid for a rear bumper, paint and boot callipers lol, so i rang the bloke up and he was like oh go through my insurance then lol.

So i get a hire car to drive round for a month:

Was quite nippy...

Missed the car while it was gone so bad and was bored one night so made these in photoshop lol :

theres loads more but I'm sure your pretty bored as it is haha

Anyway I get the callback she is ready for pick up and has been valeted!

New bumper!

Amazing got her back finally and was loving it.....................

About a month later breaks down outside my girlfriends work, headgasket blown took it to the bloke i bought the car from (mechanic) says the parts will cost 500 quid including engine tappits as couple of them had gone, I believe a new water cooling system was fitted aswell...didn't have to pay for labour, thank **** as would have been over a grand easily!

Car was only gone for a week but had to get the train to work, I hadn't missed public transport...

Anyways got pulled on friday just gone for brakelight out, so went shop and got one today then started taking some more pictures with me iphone which has now led me to boring you all with my story lol.

Wilderness [geekout]

Thanks for reading if you did x x

oh and tire blew last month aswell..

Think I'm quite lucky with cars

HG problem on a 180....???? I would get a 2nd opinion on that !!!!!
If there is antifreaze in the middle of the V under the manifold it will be the thermostate.
Also get a 2nd opinion on the tappets. The inlet manifold is common to go and sounds like tappet noise!

Do you have a 180 or is it a 110/120....?

Looking at ur front brakes, they seem to be a bit small for a 180.......?

Interesting write up on your ZS, at least you`ve got the dreaded hgf out the way & repaired good as new!

Zeds in iggy blue really do look the part, i find mine always washes & polishes up a treat!
