205/45-205/40 ( tyres )

hi is there any noticeable difference between the 45 and the 40 series as i will need 4 tyres shortly and the 40series is a good bit cheaper.

if your local i have some really good Toyo T1r tyres on 45 profile sat, they are like new on the back and 4mm on the fronts, only looking for a little.

Sidewalls wont be as deep on the 40's so the arch gap will look bigger. Ride quality will be worse on the 40's aswell to due to the lower profile.

For 40 profile you will want 215/40/17.

Got 215/40/17's on mine, they look good, handling is superb but ride quality is a bit harsh, tend to feel everything! 215/45/17's rub on full lock!

im running 205/40/17's on my straights, they are awsome, filled with nitrogen i get next to no tyre flex on the 40's, yeah the ride is harsh but lets face it the 180s arnt the smootest of rides....

You willing to send Ross, any idea on courier costs? As at the moment I have one 215 and one 205 on the front!

I reckon i could have them sent cheap as they would wrap together just unsure of the weight.

With work I can send for 5.99. i rekon 2 parcels would do it!!
