Coolant loss....

Pulled in for some petrol and the fan kicked in, lifted the bonnet and no coolant. The only stuff on the shelves was the standard blue stuff, is that ok as a temp fix?

Think I would just add water, sort out where its gone, then add OAT stuff.

only if you flush the system afterwards and replace with orange/pink stuff or you could just put water in as a temp fix to get you where your going

Got back fine in the end thanks. Panic set in when I got stuck in rush hour traffic though! The fan seems to kick in only when the car has been sitting in traffic, yet there was coolant in there. I'll have to pop it to the garage and get it checked. I was actually sitting in a drive-through queue when it stated to go up, managed quickly to reverse out and park up before it went tits up!

Filler cap is something most owners don't think of, but you've done it
Just cjeck connection where the clips are for pipes/engine and thermostat is also
